Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Recruitment: Post of Medical Officer


Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), a “Maharatna” Public Sector Enterprise, and India’s flagship energy major engaged in Exploration and Production of Oil and Gas in India and abroad, intends to engage Doctors - Field Duty and General Duty on contract basis at its Jorhat and Golaghat work-centre on a consolidated honorarium. The period of contract shall be up to 30.06.2022. The job is purely on contract basis and does not carry any liability on the part of ONGC to grant regular appointment at any stage.

1. Post Name: Medical Officer (Field Duty).
                         Medical Officer (General Duty).

2. Number of Posts: Medical Officer (Field Duty): 02
                                   Medical Officer (General Duty): 02

3. Location: The selected candidates shall be posted in Jorhat and Golaghat, Assam.

4. Scale of Pay: Medical Officer (Field Duty): Rs. 75,000 per month.
                           Medical Officer (General Duty): Rs. 72,000 per month.

5. Job Type: Contract Basis.

6. Age Limit: There is no maximum age limit for eligibility.

7. Essential Qualification: Medical Officer (Field Duty): MBBS with valid registration at State Medical Council or Medical Council of India.

 Medical Officer (General Duty): Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with valid registration at State Medical Council or Medical Council of India.

8. Experience: Experience is desirable for all posts.

9. Last Date of Application: 07.08.2020.

Qualifications equivalent to the one prescribed in this advertisement including qualifications acquired from a foreign university will not be accepted.

Appointment of selected candidates will be subject to their passing the company’s Medical Examination as per standards laid down under ONGC Medical Examination of Employees Rules, 1996. Details of the rules are available on ONGC’s Website at www.ongcindia.com.

Selected candidates shall be required to sign a contract agreement as per the terms and conditions of ONGC.
