The government of India has launched the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi with the objective of correcting regional imbalances in the availability of affordable and reliable tertiary healthcare services and also to augment facilities for quality medical education creating a critical mass of doctors and conduct research in the country relevant to the area.

Main mission is to establish a centre of excellence in medical education, training, health care and research imbued with scientific culture, compassion for the sick and commitment to serve the under served.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh invites applications for the following posts. :-

3. Job Type : On direct recruitment basis.

5. Scale of Pay : Rs. 44900-142400 as per VII th CPC.

6. Age Limit : 18-35 years.

7. Essential Qualifications : (i) MA (Social Work) / MSW,  with specialization in medical social work, from a recognized University / 5 years' Experience in a government or private sector hospital of minimum 500 beds in line with welfare or health Agency, preferably dealing with Medical / Public Health Service.

10. Application Fee : Rs. 3000/- for General and OBC and Rs. 1000/- for SC/ST/OPH

11. General Conditions : 

  • Individual application and application fee is required to be submitted/remitted for candidates applying for more than one post). 
  • On-line Registration and Submission process will be terminated by 31.08.2020. Candidature of such applicants who fail to complete online submission of application form by stipulated date and time will not be considered and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained. 
  • Age relaxation for SC/ST candidate up to a maximum period up to a maximum period of 03 years 
  •  In case of Orthopaedic Physical Handicapped (OPH) candidates, relaxable upto maximum period of 10 years for General Category, 13 years for OBC category and 15 years for SC/ST category candidates on last date of submission of application 
  •  In case of Permanent Government Employees who have rendered not less than 3 years regular   of 05 years, 
  •  In case of Orthopaedic Physical Handicapped (OPH) candidates, relaxable upto maximum period of 10 General Category, 13 years for OBC category and 15 years for SC/ST category.
  •  Candidates as Permanent Government Employees who have rendered not less than 3 years regular continuous service in the relevant field, maximum period of 5 years.
  • Relaxation in upper age limit in favour of Contractual employees of AIIMS Rishikesh considered for a period of his or her continuous or 5 years whicever is less, as a one-time dispensation. 
  • Candidates are required to give 3 choices of centres. Exact centre will be  given at time of issue of admit card. Effort will be made to allot centre to a candidate according to their given preferences. However, in case of non will be allotted. Decision of AIIMS, Rishikesh will be final in this regard. 
  • Applicants in regular employment must submit a “NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE” from employers at time of Interview.
  • Candidates with valid application shall be issued candidates directly from the AIIMS, Rishikesh website Registration Number/application Number, Date of Birth. would be available on website 15 days before actual date of examination.
  • No TA/DA shall be admissible for appearing in Written Test.
  • Period of Probation shall be of 2 years. 
  • Director AIIMS, Rishikesh reserves rights to fill any or all of advertised posts or not to fill same without assigning any reason.

ABOUT INSTITUE

AIIMS Rishikesh : Posts of Medico Social Worker


AIIMS, Rishikesh is one of the SIX AIIMS like apex healthcare institutes being established by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY). With the aim of correcting regional imbalances in quality tertiary level healthcare in the country, and attaining self sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education and training the PMSSY planned to set up 6 new AIIMS like institutions in under served areas of the country.

These institutions are being established by an Act of Parliament on the lines of the original All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi which imparts both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education in all its branches and related fields, along with nursing and paramedical training. To bring together in one place, educational facilities of the highest order for the training of personnel in all branches of health care activity.

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh came into exsistence as an institute of National Importance through an Act of parliament. The All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (Amendment) Bill, 2012,was passed in the Lok Sabha on August 30,2012 and in Rajya Sabha on September 4, 2012.This Act enabled the Rishikesh AIIMS to be an autonomous body on the lines of the existing AIIMS, Delhi.

Official inauguration ceremony for Medical college of AIIMS,Rishikesh was held done on 20.09.2012. Subsequently MBBS classes with batch of 50 students were started on 21.09.2012.
