High Court of Kerala Recruitment: Research Assistant (33)


Applications are invited from qualified Indian Citizens for temporary appointment as Research Assistant (33 posts) in the High Court of Kerala. Appointment will be for a period of two years only. Candidates shall apply online through the recruitment portal of the High Court (http://hckrecruitment.nic.in/). No other means / modes of application will be accepted.

4. Scale of Pay: Rs. 30,000/- per month.

5. Mode of SelectionSelection will be on the basis of the viva voce examination. 

6. Age LimitCandidates born between 26.08.1992 and 25.08.1998 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply for this post.

7. Essential Qualifications:  Graduation in Law. Final year/semester law students are also eligible to apply. Applications of final year/semester law students will be considered only on production of the final year mark list and percentage certificate within 45 days from the date of closure of Step II process.

8. Last Date of Application: 25.08.2020.

9. How to Apply: Eligible candidates are required to apply 'ONLINE' only through the Recruitment Portal www.hckrecruitment.nic.in. 

The online application process has two parts – Step I and Step-II. 'Step-I/New Applicant is the first part of the registration of the applications.' 'Step-II/ Registered Applicant' is the second part of the process for those applicants who completes Step-I. 

A candidate's online application is complete only if he/she completes both the steps which include the submission of applications by clicking the 'FINAL SUBMISSION' option available in Step-II process.
Candidate should keep the particulars of educational qualifications, enrolment details, experience details and other personal details ready before applying as these details are required to be entered in the online Application Form. 

A candidate shall submit only one application. 

The candidates are advised to keep the Application Number and Key Number securely as both are required each time they log into the system.

High Court of Kerala Recruitment: Research Assistant (33)

The High Court is a constitutional court as per Article 215 of the Indian Constitution. It is a court of record and has all the powers of such court including the power to punish for contempt of itself. 

At present, the sanctioned Judge strength at the High Court of Kerala is 35 permanent judges including the Chief Justice and 12 additional judges.

Every judge including the Chief Justice shall be appointed by the President of India by warrant under his hand and seal. 




The foundation stone of the High Court of Kerala was laid on 14th March, 1994 by the then Chief Justice of India, Justice M.N. Venkatachaliah.

The completed High Court building was inaugurated by the then Chief Justice of India, Justice Y.K. Sabharwal on 11th February, 2006.

The building is equipped with modern amenities like video conferencing, air conditioned courtrooms, internet, facilities for retrieval of order copies, and case publishing via internet. 

The building is built on 5 acres of land and has a built up area of 550,000 sq. feet over nine floors. The building has in it a post office, medical clinic, library, canteens and other frequently needed services and utilities.
