National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM) invites applications from eligible candidates for various positions purely on Contract Basis for Indian Nationals for Project Management Unit (PMU) , NIFTEM.

The following positions are required to be filled:

2. Consultant (for preparation of course material DPR, etc. for the entire training).
3. Consultant (Machinery/Process/Product Development, Packaging etc.).
4. Consultant (for A/V Content development and teaching material for online classes).

3. Location: Haryana.

4. Scale of Pay: Team Leader: Rs. 1,75,000/- per month.
                           Consultant: Rs. 1,10,000/- per month.
                           Young Professionals: Rs. 60,000/- per month.

5. Age Limit: Team Leader: 45 years.
                           Consultant: 40 years.
                           Young Professionals: 32 years.

6. Essential Qualifications:
Team Leader - MBA/Master’s degree in Public Administration or Rural Development or PGDM with specialization in Agri/Food Business or Rural Management//from Recognised Universities/Institutions.

Consultant (for preparation of course material DPR, etc. for the entire training) - Master’s degree in Food Technology/Food Engineering/Agricultural Economics/PGDM with Specialization in Agri/Food Business Management from Recognised University/Institute.

Consultant (Machinery/Process/Product Development, Packaging etc.) - Master’s degree in Food Technology/Food Engineering from Recognised University/Institute. Ph.D. in the design and development of Food process/Equipment or New Product Development is desirable.

Consultant (for A/V Content development and teaching material for online classes) - Master’s degree in Visual/Mass Communication/Journalis m/Electronics and Communication from Recognised University/Institute.

Consultant (Product Development) - M.Sc. in Food Science from Recognised university/Institute. PhD is desirable.

Young Professionals - M.Sc in food science. /M.Tech. in Food Technology/Food Engineering from reputed National/International University/Institute.

7. Experience:
Team Leader: More than 10 years of experience in managing development projects preferably in Food Processing or AgriBusiness Development or Rural Development or MSME, out of which 3-5 years in leadership role.

Consultant (for preparation of course material DPR, etc. for the entire training) - More than 5 years’ experience in preparing DPRs/bankable projects, providing consultancy services to FPI (preferably to Micro Enterprises) for technology Upgradation, new project development, and experience in preparing course material, desirable.

Consultant (Machinery/Process/Product Development, Packaging etc.) - More than 5 years’ experience providing consultancy services or worked in FPI (Preferably to Micro Enterprises) for technology Upgradation, new project development, Quality assurance, Food Safety Management.

Consultant (for A/V Content development and teaching material for online classes) - More than 5 years’ experience in Planning and Overseeing EIC Campaign for National Programme for masses/beneficiaries at grass root level.

Consultant (Product Development) - Minimum 5 years of experience in providing consultancy services or having working in product development relevant to Micro and MSME Food Sector.

Young Professionals - Minimum of 01 year experience.

National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM) was conceptualized by Government of India on persistent demand of the food industry to have an apex body as a "One Stop Solution Provider" for the various problems of the sector. Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India has set up this institute with an initial investment of Rs. 500 crore (US $100 million). 

The institute is spread over an area of 100 acres. The institute intends to act as a centre of excellence and an apex world class centre of global standards in the area of food technology and management. It will cater to the needs of various stakeholders such as entrepreneurs, industries, exporters, policy makers, government and existing institutions. NIFTEM being an apex institution under Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) have developed strong linkages with industries.

NIFTEM aims to expand food technology research and education far beyond the conventional realm, by covering upstream food technology disciplines and providing exposure to its students in cutting edge areas of relevance. The focus of NIFTEM transcends beyond traditional technology applications, so as to provide better career prospects to students in the field of Food Technology & Management to enable them to meet the demands of high-end professionals in Food Industry. Industries have given feedback difficulties in recruiting suitably trained manpower and there is a huge shortage of the same. 

The curriculum at NIFTEM has been designed as per the specific needs of the industry.
