6. Essential Qualifications:
Medical Officer/Research Officer (Homeopathy) -
(i) A Degree in Homoeopathy
of a recognised University/ Statutory State Board/ Council or equivalent recognised
under the Homoeopathic Central Council ACT, 1973 (59 of 1973).
(ii) Enrolment on the
Central Register of Homoeopathy or State Register of Homoeopathy.
Assistant Engineer (Quality Assurance, Metallurgy) -
Master’s Degree in Science in one of the subjects viz. Physics,
Chemistry (Inorganic) from a recognized University
OR
Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgy
Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (General Medicine) -
(i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification
included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule
(other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
(ii) Post-Graduate degree in the concerned
speciality or super speciality mentioned in Section A of Schedule VI from recognized
Teaching Institute i.e. Doctor of Medicine (Medicine); or Doctor of Medicine (General
Medicine); or Diplomate National Board (Medicine/ General Medicine).
Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Neuro Surgery) -
(i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First
Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate
qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
(ii) Post-Graduate degree in the concerned speciality or super
speciality mentioned in Section A of Schedule VI from recognized Teaching Institute i.e.
Magister Chirurguie (Neuro Surgery); or Diplomate National Board (Neuro Surgery).
Architect (Group - A), Urban Planning -
(i)
Degree in Architecture of a recognized University or equivalent.
(ii) Should be
registered as Architect with Council of Architecture, India.
7. Experience:
Assistant Engineer (Quality Assurance, Metallurgy) - Two years
practical experience in Production or Development or Quality Assurance in the fields
of Metallurgy from recognized organization or undertaking.
Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (General Medicine) - At least three years’ teaching experience as Senior Resident or Tutor or
Demonstrator or Registrar or Assistant Professor or Lecturer in the concerned Specialty
or Super Specialty in a recognized teaching institution after obtaining the first Post
Graduate degree.
Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Neuro Surgery) - At least three years’ teaching experience as Senior Resident or Tutor
or Demonstrator or Registrar or Assistant Professor or Lecturer in the concerned
Specialty or Super Specialty in a recognized teaching institution after obtaining the first
Post Graduate degree.
Architect (Group - A), Urban Planning - Five years
experience in the Profession.

Candidates must upload the documents/certificates in support of all the claims
made by them in the application like, Date of Birth, Experience (preferably in prescribed

claim in pdf file.
Candidates who wish to apply for more than one post should apply separately for
each post and pay the fee for each post in the prescribed manner.
After submitting the Online Recruitment Application (ORA), the candidates are
required to take out a print out of the finally submitted Online Recruitment Application.

UPSC Recruitment for Various Posts
The commission is mandated by the Constitution for appointments to the services of the Union and All India Services. It is also required to be consulted by the Government in matters relating to the appointment, transfer, promotion and disciplinary matters. The commission reports directly to the President and can advise the Government through him. Although, such advice is not binding on the Government. Being a constitutional authority, UPSC is amongst the few institutions which function with both autonomy and freedom, along with the country’s higher judiciary and lately the Election Commission.
The commission is headquartered at Dholpur House, in New Delhi and functions through its own secretariat. Arvind Saxena has been the Chairman of UPSC since June 2018.
Established on 1 October 1926 as Public Service Commission, it was later reconstituted as Federal Public Service Commission by the Government of India Act 1935; only to be renamed as today's Union Public Service Commission after the independence.
Under Article 320 of the Constitution of India, the Commission is, inter-alia, required to be consulted on all matters relating to recruitment to civil services and posts. The functions of the Commission under Article 320 of the Constitution are:
- Conduct examinations for appointment to the services of the Union.
- Direct recruitment by selection through interviews.
- Appointment of officers on promotion / deputation / absorption.
- Framing and amendment of Recruitment Rules for various services and posts under the Government.
- Disciplinary cases relating to different Civil Services.
- Advising the Government on any matter referred to the Commission by the President of India.
